Upcoming GED prep classes through VCLA   Greetings to all: Once again the Valley Community Learning Association is pleased to be able to offer GED preparation classes for those wanting to write the GED battery of tests and needing some assistance with the process of studying for them. Classes will be held at the Adult High School on Highbury Road in New Minas from 6 - 9 pm on Monday evenings, starting on September 21st. The cost for the class, which lasts for 14 weeks, is $210. If a person already has the Steck-Vaughan GED preparation book and the appropriate calculator, the cost will be reduced to $170. The GED testing schedule for 2010 has not been made available yet, but it is hoped that there will be a writing in Kentville at the end of January. In any case, there will be a number of locations from which to choose since there are writings offered somewhere in the province 10 months of the year.
